Rain Reminds All Things to Grow

The rainy season is of four months, hence it is also called Chaumasa or Chaturmas. As soon as the rainy season starts, animals like frog, peacock, papaya etc. start chirping happily. Trees and plants scorched by the heat get a new life. The leaves look healthy and green again. There is a seductive shade in the atmosphere everywhere.

New plants and small animals start coming into existence, new buds start sprouting. Due to extreme heat, dry rivers and ponds get filled with water. The gloomy color of the mountains blossoms again.

When the first shower of rain falls on the earth, then the sweet fragrance of the soil spreads in the atmosphere. With the arrival of the rainy season, there is immense happiness in the farmers and they start preparing to sow new crops in their fields. Green fodder is also easily available for animals.

Some difficulties also increase when the rainy season comes. Due to filling of water in rivers and drains and accumulation of water on the roads, there is inconvenience in traffic, dirt also increases, due to which there is a danger of spreading many types of diseases. Still, rain has its own importance. If the rainy season does not come, then the production of food and fruits and flowers on the earth will also stop and many animals will die of thirst. It will even affect wild animals and destroy their shelter. Because wild animals depend only on nature.

Monsoon is a joyous season as rain creates an inextricable connection with the five senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch and the five senses are strongly linked to memory and emotions. The rainy season has been beautifully described in many scriptures. It comes in hot summer and clears the dust in the air and cools the heat. It gives great relief from the scorching heat of the sun. It removes all the heat from the atmosphere and makes everyone feel cool. It helps plants, trees, grasses, crops, vegetables etc. to grow properly. In fact the rainy season is the queen of all seasons.
