Personality an Introverted Genius

Personality refers to the enduring characteristics and behavior that comprise a person's unique adjustment to life, including dominant traits, interests, drives, values, self-concept, abilities, and emotional patterns. Personality is a construct that encompasses interrelated behavioral, cognitive, and emotional patterns that are influenced by biological and environmental factors; these interrelated patterns are relatively stable across time periods, but they change throughout the lifespan.

Explanations for personality can focus on a variety of influences, ranging from genetic influences to the role of environment and experience in shaping an individual's personality. Behavior usually has a recognizable order and regularity. Basically, people act in the same way or in similar ways in different situations. Personality is a psychological construct, but it is also influenced by biological processes and needs.

Personality not only influences how we move and react to our environment, but it also motivates us to act in certain ways. Personality is displayed in much more than just behavior. It can also be seen in our thoughts, feelings, close relationships, and other social interactions.

A good personality teaches us to care for others, feel empathy, and take pleasure in helping others. It leads us to higher level of thoughtfulness, good impulse control and goal-directed behavior. It leads to adjustment and conformity.

Understanding the psychology of personality is much more than just an academic exercise. The findings of personality research can have important applications in the world of medicine, health, business, economics, technology, etc. By building a better understanding of how personality works, we can seek new ways to improve both individual and public health.
