Respiratory System & Exercises

Aerobic activities like walking, running or jumping rope give your heart and lungs the kind of workout they need to function efficiently. Muscle-strengthening activities like weight-lifting or Pilates build core strength, improving your posture, and toning your breathing muscles.

Tree Posture (Vrikshasan)

In this posture, standing on one leg with both hands folded upwards is made inverted. While going in this position one has to take deep breaths. And exhale while returning to normal.

Tadasana

When you stand on your toes and stretch your hands directly above the head, there is more room for oxygen in the respiratory system. This increases lung capacity.

Triangle Posture (Trikonasan)

Take deep sows standing upright. While exhaling, one hand is rooted from the bottom and the other hand is towards the sky, this leads to the exercise of the stomach. The respiratory process becomes the scavenger.

Matsyasan

In this posture, sit on the ground with cross legs and keep the head back and stay on the ground. Keep your back bone and chest elevated from the ground. This posture provides more space for oxygen in the lungs.
