A man should not make more wishes; But one should not give up desires altogether. Similarly, your earned money should be consumed slowly. To beautify a man, there should be eight guns, they are - intelligence, beautiful character, self-control, scriptural study, courage, fidelity, charity and gratitude. 

Leave nothing on tomorrow, do tomorrow's work today, no one knows what will happen tomorrow. One should try every moment for learning and every particle for money. Time should not be wasted in vain, money cannot be obtained by destroying time and resources. A gentle person should not grieve the time spent and should not bother for the future.

एक आदमी को अधिक इच्छाएं नहीं करनी चाहिए; लेकिन इच्छाओं का सर्वथा त्याग भी नहीं करना चाहिए। उसी प्रकार अपने कमाये हुए धन का धीरे-धीरे उपभोग करना चाहिये। पुरुष को सुशोभित करने के लिए आठ गन होने चाहिए, वे इस प्रकार हैं - बुद्धि, सुन्दर चरित्र, आत्म-नियंत्रण, शास्त्र-अध्ययन, साहस, मितभाषिता, यथाशक्ति दान और कृतज्ञता।  

कल पर कुछ ना छोड़े, कल वाला काम आज ही कर ले, कल क्या होगा यह कोई नहीं जानता है । हर क्षण विद्या के लिए और हर कण धन के लिए प्रयत्न करना चाहिए। व्यर्थ में समय नष्ट नही करना चाहिए, समय नष्ट करने पर विद्या और साधनों के नष्ट करने पर धन प्राप्त नहीं हो सकता है । एक सज्जन व्यक्ति को बीते हुए समय का शोक नहीं करना चाहिए और भविष्य के लिए परेशान नहीं होना चाहिए।  

एक सज्जन व्यक्ति नारियल के समान होते हैं, वह बाहर से कड़क दीखता हैं, लेकिन स्वभाव से अति सौम्य होते हैं। अन्य तो बदरी फल के समान केवल बाहर से ही अच्छे लगते हैं । उदय होते समय सूर्य लाल होता है और अस्त होते समय भी लाल होता है, सत्य है महापुरुष सुख और दुःख में समान रहते हैं ।
