Be Thankful Not Ungrateful : A Short Story

Once upon a time, a boy jumped into the river and tried to commit suicide. Incidentally, a saint arrived there and took the boy out of the river. The saint sent him home after convincing him and the saint went on his way.

After a few months the saint was passing the city. Suddenly the boy appeared to the saint, bent down and touched the saint's feet. The saint was happy, discussed about his life. Both were feeling the pleasant moments at that time. The saint blessed him for happy life and went ahead on his way.  

Time passed and the same saint came to that city. The boy saw the saint coming from the front, he tried to change the way but the saint called him. He asked, "How are you now and what are you doing?" This time the boy became angry and shouted at the saint, "Why didn't you let me die that day, I am not followed again and again." The saint could not speak anything and proceeded on the way. एक बार की बात हैं, एक लड़का नदी में कूदकर आत्महत्या करने की कोशिश कर था। संयोग से वहा पर एक संत आ गए और उन्होंने उस लड़के को नदी से बाहर निकाला। साधु ने उसे समझाने के बाद घर भेज दिया और संत अपने रास्ते चला गया। 

कुछ महीनों के बाद संत शहर से गुजर रहे थे। अचानक लड़का संत के पास आया, नीचे झुका और संत के पैर छू लिए। संत खुश थे, उनके जीवन के बारे में चर्चा की। दोनों उस समय सुखद क्षणों को महसूस कर रहे थे। संत ने उन्हें खुशहाल जीवन के लिए आशीर्वाद दिया और अपने रास्ते पर आगे बढ़ गए। 

समय बीतता गया और वही संत उस शहर में आए। लड़के ने संत को सामने से आते देखा, उसने रास्ता बदलने की कोशिश की लेकिन संत ने उसे बुला लिया। उसने पूछा, "अब तुम कैसे हो और क्या कर रहे हो?" इस बार लड़का क्रोधित हो गया और संत पर चिल्लाया, "तुमने मुझे उस दिन मरने क्यों नहीं दिया, बार-बार मेरा पीछा तो नहीं किया जाता ।" संत कुछ बोल नहीं पाए और रास्ते में आगे बढ़ गए।
