Funny Journey On The Track

In 1990, we boarded a train from Mumbai to Delhi. Do not know why the train coach seemed to be empty today. It was not crowded like other days. We fell asleep when train departed from the station.

In the morning, gossiping with fellow travelers started over tea. I wish you had been with us, because we were having such fun! As we are together. “When we are away we had so much fun. Think how much fun we would have had!"  

We felt that we should never get off the coach. I was ready to die of laughter. And then we were so happy all over the way to house that we were talking about the train compartment and laughed so loudly, that anybody might have heard us ten miles off!” Read More…

1990 में हम मुंबई से दिल्ली के लिए रेल डिब्बे में सवार हुए। ना जाने क्यों आज डिब्बा खाली खाली सा जान पड़ता था। अन्य दिनों की तरह आज भीड़ नहीं थीं। गाड़ी चलने पर हम सो गए।

सुबह उठे तो चाय पर सह -यात्रियों के साथ गपशप शुरू हो गयी। काश आप हमारे साथ गए होते, क्योंकि हमें ऐसा मज़ा आ रहा था! जैसे हम साथ में हैं । “फिर जब हम दूर हैं तो इतना मज़ा आया सोचो साथ आए होते तो कितना मज़ा आया होता!”

हमें लगा कि हमें कभी कोच से नहीं उतरना चाहिए था। मैं हंसी के मरने के लिए तैयार था। और फिर हम पूरे घर में बहुत खुश थे कि हम रेल डिब्बे की बात कर रहे थे और इतनी जोर से हँसे, कि किसी ने भी हमें दस मील दूर सुना होगा! "

When we want more, or when we lack it, then love hurts. Losing a relationship can be extremely painful. Relationship, or love, is so important that it is the thing couples fight about the most. This happens in every small thing. Like we are watching a show. My partner is saying, "Wait, I want to see what this is about" and I keep scrolling, ignoring his quote, that seed of conflict has been sown. Alternatively, when I ask if we can go sightseeing this weekend and my spouse either says yes, and does not follow through, or says “sightseeing!" You know I hate going out unnecessarily! My father had become idle. Though, the primary source of our income was agricultural land and it was gone from our hand. Now there was no job for my father. That time we were two brothers and two sisters. I was not born that time.  He went to Kanpur Uttar Pradesh for some work because my maternal grandfather lived there and was running a restaurant.
