Bhai Dooj

Bhai Dooj is a festival celebrated by Hindus on the second lunar day of the Shukla Paksha of the Vikram Samvat Hindu calendar or Kartik month. It is celebrated during the Diwali and Holi festival. Bhaiya Dooj is one such occasion that can define the eternal love between brothers and sisters. 

They are the best friends of each other, protectors of each other, admirers of each other and has unconditional love for each other. This wonderful festival is an important occasion where sisters pray to God for the longevity, well-being and prosperity of their beloved brother. It is celebrated on the last day of the five-day long festival of Diwali. It is also celebrated in the southern parts of India as "Yama Second". 

According to the one legend, Lord Krishna visited his sister, Subhadra after killing demon Narkasur. Her sister gave a warm welcome to him and made the occasion really special through flowers and sweets. भाई दूज, भाई टीका हिंदुओं द्वारा विक्रम संवत हिंदू कैलेंडर या कार्तिक माह के शुक्ल पक्ष के दूसरे चंद्र दिवस पर मनाया जाने वाला त्योहार है। यह दिवाली और होली त्योहार के दौरान मनाया जाता है। भैया दूज एक ऐसा अवसर है जो भाइयों और बहनों के बीच शाश्वत प्रेम को परिभाषित कर सकता है। 

वे एक-दूसरे के सबसे अच्छे दोस्त हैं, एक-दूसरे के रक्षक हैं, एक-दूसरे के प्रशंसक हैं और एक-दूसरे के लिए बिना शर्त प्यार करते हैं। यह अद्भुत त्योहार एक महत्वपूर्ण अवसर है जहां बहनें अपने प्यारे भाई की लंबी उम्र, कल्याण और समृद्धि के लिए भगवान से प्रार्थना करती हैं। यह दिवाली के पांच दिवसीय लंबे त्योहार के अंतिम दिन मनाया जाता है। इसे भारत के दक्षिणी हिस्सों में "यम द्वितीय" के रूप में भी मनाया जाता है। 

एक कथा के अनुसार, भगवान कृष्ण ने राक्षस नरकासुर का वध करने के बाद अपनी बहन सुभद्रा से मुलाकात की थी। उसकी बहन ने उसका बहुत गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया और फूलों और मिठाइयों के माध्यम से इस अवसर को वास्तव में विशेष बना दिया। सुभद्रा ने अपने भाई, कृष्ण के माथे पर औपचारिक "तिलक" भी लगाया और इसलिए "भाई दूज" का त्योहार वहीं से पैदा हुआ।
