Shard Navratra - Day- 5 Skandamata

The fifth form of Maa Durga is that of Skandamata. Being the mother of Lord Skanda, she is known as Skandmata. They are worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri-puja. On this day, the mind of the seeker is situated in the 'pure' cycle. Lord Skanda sits on his lap in child form. Skandamata has four arms. This right hand is holding Lord Skanda in the lap and the lotus flower in the other. Her one left arm is in boon form and the other arm also has lotus flower. 

Her colour is completely white. She sits on the lotus seat. For that reason, she is also known as Padmasana Devi. She rides a lion. After meditating on the mother, the seeker moves towards a pure conscious form. Her mind is completely engrossed as Padmasana Maa Skandamata, freed from all cosmic, worldly, mystic bonds. At this time, the seeker should move towards worship with full caution. He should continue on the path of cultivation while keeping all his meditations focused. Worshiping Maa Skandamati fulfills all the wishes of the devotee. 

The seeker begins to experience ultimate peace and happiness in the world of death itself. For him, the gate of salvation is automatically accessible. Along with the worship of Skandmata, the worship of Skanda God is also done on its own. Only this goddess has this specialty, so the seeker should pay special attention to the worship of Skandamata.  

Being the goddess presiding over the sun, their worshipers are endowed with supernatural aura. This supernatural halo is always a circular circumference. माँ दुर्गा का पाँचवाँ रूप स्कंदमाता का है। भगवान स्कंद की माता होने के कारण, उन्हें स्कंदमाता के नाम से जाना जाता है। नवरात्रि-पूजा के पांचवें दिन उनकी पूजा की जाती है। इस दिन साधक का मन 'शुद्ध' चक्र में स्थित होता है। भगवान स्कंद बाल रूप में उनकी गोद में विराजमान हैं। स्कंदमाता की चार भुजाएँ हैं। यह दाहिना हाथ गोद में भगवान स्कंद और दूसरे में कमल का फूल धारण किए हुए है। उसका एक बांया हाथ वरदान के रूप में है और दूसरे हाथ में भी कमल का फूल है।  

उसका रंग पूरी तरह से सफेद है। वह कमल के आसन पर बैठती है। इसी कारण से, उन्हें पद्मासना देवी भी कहा जाता है। वह शेर पर सवार होती है। माँ का ध्यान करने पर साधक शुद्ध चेतन रूप की ओर बढ़ता है। उसका मन पूरी तरह से पद्मासना मां स्कंदमाता के रूप में तल्लीन हो जाता है, जो सभी लौकिक, सांसारिक, रहस्यवादी बंधनों से मुक्त हो जाता है। इस समय, साधक को पूरी सावधानी के साथ पूजा की ओर बढ़ना चाहिए। उसे अपने सभी ध्यानों को केंद्रित रखते हुए साधना के मार्ग पर चलते रहना चाहिए। मां स्कंदमाती की पूजा से भक्त की सभी मनोकामनाएं पूरी होती हैं। 

साधक को मृत्यु लोक में ही परम शांति और खुशी का अनुभव होना शुरू हो जाता है। उसके लिए, मोक्ष का द्वार स्वचालित रूप से सुलभ है। स्कंदमाता की पूजा के साथ ही स्कंद भगवान की पूजा भी अपने आप हो जाती है। केवल इसी देवी में यह विशेषता है, इसलिए साधक को स्कंदमाता की पूजा पर विशेष ध्यान देना चाहिए। 

सूर्यमंडल की अध्यक्षता करने वाली देवी होने के कारण, उनका उपासक अलौकिक आभा से संपन्न हो जाता है। यह अलौकिक प्रभामंडल हमेशा एक गोलाकार परिधि होती है। इसलिए हमें एकाग्रता के साथ मन को शुद्ध रखकर मां की शरण में आने का प्रयास करना चाहिए। इस भयानक मृत्यु लोक के दुखों से छुटकारा पाने और मोक्ष के मार्ग को सुलभ बनाने का कोई बेहतर तरीका नहीं है।
